I received this complimentary book from Thomas Nelson Publishers. The title is THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES by William J. Bennett and Seth Liebsohn. I had no idea as I started reading this book the impact it would have on me and the desire to warn others about the radical Islam treat to our very lives. Radical Islam is our enemy and they are bent on destroying us. This could be the most important book you will ever read. It is well written so we can all understand it and it is backed up by facts at the end of the book and doesn't just consist of just the highly respected and knowledgable authors.
We are warned of their (radical Islam) mission to fly their flag over the white house. Islamic law-Sharia- has a penal code encouraging"flogging, amputation, and execution by stoning or hanging for a range of social and political offenses." Speech is restricted and, when opposed to the state, curtailed and violently punished. Read the book to learn of many more Sharia restrictions. This is a frightening book to read and yet necessary to protect our country from this enemy. When will the United States citizens finally understand that these terrorist hate us and want to destroy us. This book can help people to understand the threat and react in a way to lesson the threat. This book is not long, it has only 186 pages, but the content is compelling and insightful. Don't just read this hardback book, but pass it along to others so the warning can be spread.

A Conversation with GOD for Women by MARCIA FORD
I have really enjoyed reading my complimentary book from Thomas Nelson Publishers. A Conversation with GOD for Women by Marcia Ford. The subtitle If You Could Ask God Any Question, What Would It Be? was a good subtitle, however it doesn't let you know that the questions you would ask are exactly the questions that Marcia Ford includes in her book. This lovely book even has beautiful pages with lots of questions and answers from God. The answers are written in the first person so you feel like God is truly talking with you and answering your questions. Each topic comes with bibical references so you can exlpore the truth for yourself, that is very important to me. Scripture backup is a requirement to me because the Bible is our try authority and if the author can't back it up with scripture then I am not interested in reading the book. Fifty five questions are answered in this book as you actually get the feeling that you are truly conversing with our Father in heaven. This is not one of those books you will read and then put on the bookshelf. You will read it over and over and share it with your friends to get their perspective to the answers. It is both a book of comfort and understanding of the scriptures. The cover is beautiful and if I had any complaint it would be that it is paperback instead of hard cover. Put this book on your must read list.

Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem, LCSW
This may be one of the best parenting books I have read in many years. I received my complimentary copy of Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem, LCSW last Friday and have read and reread it several times. I like the subtitle Raise Good Kids and Know You're Doing it Right. Ms Hickem is the founder of Intentional Moms a national not-for-profit organization that provides information, support and insights on motherhood. Unconditional love is what our children need most and the author helps us to convey to our children with her help in having us ask ourselves the right questions about our parenting skills and past experiences as a child ourselves. Our own behavior in parenting needs to be in the best interest of our children. This book is good for us individually and privately, but also as a Bible study with other moms with like desires to raise great kids. A great gift for a new mother and a great reference book for any mother. Follow the faith points in the book and make your mothering more powerful and rewarding.

PUJOLS More Than A Game by Scott Lamb and Tim Ellsworth
I received my complimentary copy of PUJOLS from Thomas Nelson Publishers with some anxiety because I am not a sports fan. I should not have worried about reviewing this book because I enjoyed every word. I found that this remarkable man and athelete who cares much more about Jesus and living for Him than he cares about baseball. Reading this story about a man and his wife totally sold out to The Lord was an inspiration. PUJOLS says he doesn't want to be remembered as a great baseball player. He wants to be remembered as a great guy that loved The Lord, loved serving his community, and who gave back. There is lots of scripture through out the book and it gives you many examples of what God expects of His children and how He blessed them. I had a hard time putting it down and I am certain that it would be even more enjoyable if you are a baseball fan. I think this would be an excellent tool to help a young man see his need for giving his life to Jesus. The PUJOLS oldest daughter has downs syndrome and the foundation they have formed for families with disabled children is a story in its self. They tirelessly give of themselves and their resources to help others and often travel to foreign countries to aid and deliver the gospel message. This is definitely a must read for sports fans and anyone needing a spiritual uplifting read.
